To gain the benefits that are mention within chapter 2 of Proverbs, one must begin his or her journey on ones’s knees, sitting down, or standing up in prayer.
You will need to do these things to gain these benefits:
1. Listen to what Wisdom says and treasure her commands (v. 1)
2. Tune your ears to wisdom and concentrate on understanding (v. 2)
3. Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding (v. 3)
4. Search for them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures (v. 4)
5. Then you will understand what it means to fear the LORD and you will gain knowledge of God (v. 5)
If you:
1. Are Honest – You will be granted a treasure of common sense (v. 7)
2. Walk with integrity – The LORD will be a shield to you (v. 7)
3. Are Just – The LORD will guard your paths (v. 8)
4. Are Faithful to God – The LORD will protect you (v. 8)
Only after you have settle the above will you gain Wisdom and it’s benefits, not before.
I have not arrived yet, but you can bet that I am on that path, praying and hoping to gain all of the benefits that I can, before I blossom into the next chapter of life.
Remember, that you are somebody in Christ and He is waiting for you to Repeat after Him. “I am a Child of God” Amen!
