What or Who guides your Life?

I know, I am always talking about the fruit of the spirit, but this is so important, If we don’t let God’s Spirit direct us in every area of our lives we end up looking very foolish and claiming to be Christians but acting like the world or even worst the children of the devil.
So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.

The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants.

And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires.

These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions.

But when you are directed by the Spirit, you are not under obligation to the law of Moses.

But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives:

  •  love
  •  joy
  • peace
  • patience
  • kindness
  • goodness
  • faithfulness
  • gentleness
  • self-control

There is no law against these things!

Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there.

Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.

Let us not become conceited, or provoke one another, or be jealous of one another.”

Galatians 5:16-18, 22-26 NLT

In the list above which do or did you have trouble with?

My nemeses was self-control, faithfulness, and gentleness. What a struggle these were in my younger life, I have not arrived as of yet but I really am working on dying to self and allowing God’s Spirit to control every area of my life. I would like to tell you all that I have won in these areas but then I would look like a fool when I have a flesh attack, especially when I am declaring victory in these areas. When I know for sure that the battle is not over until I leave this world. Sorry love-ones just telling like is.
