key2successTo obtain the benefits of Wisdom you must first:

  • Tune your ears to wisdom (v. 2)
  • Concentrate on understanding (v. 2)
  • Cry out for insight (v. 3)
  • Ask for understanding (v. 3)application
  • Search for them (v. 4)
  • Be honest (v. 7)
  • Walk with integrity (v. 7)
  • Be faithful to the LORD (v. 8)
  • Follow the steps of good men (v. 20)
  • Stay on the paths of the righteous (v. 20)

If you do the above, then you will gain the following benefits:

  • You will understand what it means to fear the LORD (v. 5)
  • You will gain  knowledge of God (v. 5)
  • The LORD will grant you wisdom (v. 6)
  • You will receive from his mouth knowledge and understanding (v. 6)
  • You will be granted a treasury of common sense (v. 7)
  • You will have the LORD as a shield (v. 7)
  • The LORD will guard your paths (v. 8)
  • You will understand what is right, just, fair, and you will find the right way to go (v. 9)
  • Wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will fill you with joy (v. 10)
  • Wise choices will watch over you (v. 11)
  • Understanding will keep you safe (v. 11)
  • Wisdom will save you from evil people, from those whose words are twisted (v. 12)
  • Wisdom will save you from the immoral woman, from the seductive words of the promiscuous woman (v. 16)
  • You will remain in the land as long as you are godly and have integrity (v. 21)

Memory Verse:  Proverbs 2:2 – 3, “Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding. Cry out for insight (discernment), and ask for understanding.”
