Wisdom says that she will laughlaugh when you are in trouble!  (v. 26)

Why?

Because I(Wisdom) called you so often, but you wouldn’t come.  I reached out to you, but you paid no attention.  You ignored my advice and rejected the correction I offered. (v. 24, 25)

For this reason Wisdom says that she will mock mockyou when disaster overtakes you — when calamity overtakes you like a storm, when disaster engulfs you like a cyclone, and anguish and distress overwhelm you . (v. 26)

Wisdom further states that when you cry for help, I will not answer.  ignoreThough you anxiously search for me, you will not find me.  (v. 28)

Why?

Because you hated knowledge and chose not to fear the LORD.  Because you rejected my advice and paid no attention when I corrected you.  Therefore you must eat the bitter fruit of living your own way, choking on your won schemes. (v. 28, 29)

simpletonSimpletons turn away from me(Wisdom) to death (v. 32)

Fools foolare destroyed by their own complacency (v. 32)

But all who listen to me(Wisdom) will live in peace, untroubled by fear of harm. (v. 33)
