http://bible.com/116/luk.7.47.nlt “I tell you, her sins—and they are many—have been forgiven, so she has shown me much love. But a person who is forgiven little shows only little love.”
Do you appreciate the wideness of God’s mercy?
Are you grateful for his forgiveness?
Overflowing love is the natural response to forgiveness and the appropriate consequence of faith.
But only those who realize the depth of their sin can appreciate the complete forgiveness God offers them.
Jesus has rescued all of his followers, whether they were once extremely wicked or conventionally good, from eternal death.
What is your response to forgiveness?
Are you overflowing with love towards our loving God , who sent His son to die on the cross to redeem us from everlasting damnation?
Let’s talk about the appropriate consequence of your faith, does your belief allow you to respond appropriately to the forgiveness that God offers you? What does that look like? Is it an internal response or does it show externally in the form of great joy and excitement?
Have you really taken time to realize the depth of your own sin, rather than focus on others?
Have you grasped the life-line (Jesus) that God in Heaven has thrown out for you?
Please don’t sink in the muck and mire of sin, let the loving Father in Heaven draw you out of that mess.
